I just had two experiences with long telephone waits for my 2021 reservations. Yesterday hold time was 10 min but I had both cell phone and land line dialed in at the appointed top of the hour. Call was answered on the land line which was my first one dialed. I thought maybe I was a bit OCD with two lines. Then today once again at a different timeshare I had both lines going although I thought it might be a bit over the top. But it wasn't. The first one, the land line dropped my call after about 5 min. with the promise I could leave a voice mail since they were experiencing a "higher than average call volume". I re-dialed the number and put that one on speaker while out of the blue the cell phone was answered. So my backup phone was "the one". I asked rep about it and he said if you are dropped it is always better to just re-dial than try for a call back via a voice message. He then relayed that they had 38 calls in line. Really! Really? Perhaps it was just 19 of us phone jockies with two phones each. Perhaps I will try next year with 3 phones! I know every phone system is different but years ago when I owned a business when our main line was busy the call would revert to the next line which was just one last number away from main line. Has anyone tried to decipher a work around for these timeshare management companies that require you to call in for reservations?

One more trick was I called the day before and learned how to bypass the intro messages by pressing 0 for operator. Wanted to be sure that worked.

I can't imagine owning in a timeshare company where reservations were handled only by phone. Are we in the 1970's?

These are in Park City. Park Plaza and Park Regency. But also Marriott at the 13 mo. window where I waited 20 futile min. to be informed there were 100 calls in line.
