These signs have been around for years but not at every hotel.

I think that these signs were added to the Hampton Inn to welcome the new Diamond members. :D

As a non-Diamond, what annoys me are 10 of these signs at
a remote Hampton Inn, like Calhoun, GA, totally unoccupied.

IMHO, if you ain't gonna use 'em, let the unwashed masses
park closer to the door.

I am a Diamond (via Hilton Aspire) and we sometimes stay at a Hampton Inn. Sometimes Hampton is all that is available. Some are nice. Can't remember if I used the parking spot.

Hampton Inns are the most popular hotel brand in the US (by far). If there were no radius restrictions for franchisees, there would likely be one on every street corner. The only reason Hilton introduced the Home2 brand was to let developers skirt Hampton Inn radius restrictions but still target the same customer. Not surprisingly, Home2 has been the fastest growing brand in the US for several years now. Any Hampton built in the last 8-10 years is probably fairly nice. One built 20-30 years ago will depend on when it was last renovated. None will be as nice as HGV locations, though, as they are 2 tiers below in the hotel scale as defined by STR (Upper Midscale to Upper Upscale)

Staying overnight at a Hampton Inn and a Home2 during our travels this summer. Just a place to sleep while we drive to and from our destination.

Agree. Don't always need HGVC quality on a stopover or short college or family visit where we won't be in the room much. Would rather save the money for longer resort stays. :)

When we used to visit family in the Salt Lake area we would often stay at the Hampton Inn in Sandy, Utah. it would be Christmas time, often with snow on the ground. Pool and hot tub with large windows and a view of the outside. No pool at W. 57th. :D

Cheers.

Some of the Hampton Inns are super nice and a few are horrendous. Hilton must not do a very good job of monitoring the franchises.

Last summer, we stayed at The Hampton Inn in Maquette MI. Very nice place in a great location. I would say it’s one of the best there. There isn’t much in luxury hotels there, though.

I just looked at my Hilton Honors account and it stated that I was a Diamond. I guess I already have access to the Diamond resorts. ;)

Do HGVC resorts have Diamond parking? Never really noticed.
