I'm not an owner yet but will be taking over my aunt's account soon.

She gave me the log in information and I was trying to browse different places in the USA and look to see what's available and what the point cost would be.

I noticed some places were all grey and couldn't be chosen. Example, all of Washington State isn't available.

Why is this? Seems like they have lots of places but some can't be chosen.

Thanks for any help.

Washington only has Club Pass Worldmark resorts. You don't want to book those because of the $99 fee. Just stick with the Club Wyndham resorts. If you want to stay at a Worldmark, then buy Worldmark resale. It isn't cost effective to stay via Club Pass.

Is it a $99 fee per night, or just for the entire booking?

Said another way... the website lists both the resorts that are available for direct booking via the website (i.e. Club Wyndham resorts) AND resorts that are available for booking via Club Pass. Club Pass is an internal exchange network between Club Wyndham and Worldmark - another timeshare club managed/operated by Wyndham. For Club Pass resorts, you cannot book them directly via the website - you have to call in - and you can only book those resorts is you have points purchased from the developer.

And honestly, $99 per reservation is a perfectly reasonable amount for the right reservation. It certainly isn't cost effective to buy from the developer rather than resale for the sole purpose of being able to book Worldmark via Club Pass. But if you already have that ability, $99 is fine for the occasional Club Pass reservation.

I went to rci and it seems she does have club pass because I was able to go straight from Wyndham and into rci.

However, I didn't see the Worlmark location I wanted in Leavenworth,WA. I saw a bunch of other locations but not the specific one I was looking for.

That's not Club Pass. That is your RCI/Wyndham account that everyone has. You have to call in to make a Club Pass reservation and you can only use "direct from Wyndham" points and not resale points for these reservations. And pay the $99 fee.

You may find some nice resorts on RCI, but there is also a booking fee for using your points deposited (around $200 give or take $20-30). What you might find if you look for "Last Calls" are reservations you can make for only the booking fee ($189-239) without using points! This is a great deal for a week!

My aunt has two Wyndham accounts.

One is direct from Wyndham and the other is resale.

But if she gives them both to me, neither will be direct from Wyndham. Right? They will both be considered resale?

typically if a developer account is transferred to a family member it can remain a developer account. (There are rules on which family relationship qualify, but I am not sure how strict they are about them.)
