Some Heavy Rains in Hawaii This Weekend

We have had rain on and off all weekend here on Molokai but some of the other islands got hit pretty bad. I remember seeing the Ala Wai Canal like this a few times when we lived on Ala Wai Boulevard.

Heavy weekend rain triggers flooding, raging waterways, runoff across much of state

Oahu and Maui already are saturated, and any rainfall could trigger flooding.

Hi Jeff, we are at Nanea right now and it has been pretty good really. Spent yesterday at the pool and at Black Rock. There were a few times we retreated to the room but overall had a great day. Got to see what there was of the sunset. Sitting right now looking at the clouds over Molokai.Consider yourself waved at.

Things move through fast. We've cloudy all day with intermittent rain. Nothing too heavy yet.

We had really dark clouds in the east, and heavy rain in the evening yesterday (at the Pointe at Poipu.) Today there are a lot of light fluffy clouds on the horizon, and we can see it raining out on the ocean, but just a few sprinkles here. We are lucky, because of the angle of our lanai, it has stayed dry so far, and we even sat outside and enjoyed the downpour. When you are from Hades, CA, you enjoy rain!

Too early for winter. Earliest winter ever hit in my yrs on CA coast was mid-Nov.

They had to do a rescue in the Iao Valley yesterday because of the flooding.
