About a month ago we sold Cypress Harbour back to Marriott. By the time it is actually gone we will have owned it for over 16 years. I'm retiring next year and two of my three children are either in college or getting ready to start.
It wasn't about the money, we bought it on the secondary market originally.
Our kids are over the theme parks, but we all still love the resort. We didn't even use it yearly over the past few years usually trading it. The problem is we all love the place. Our kids when they were "little" referred to it as there home away from home.
Luckily for us we have enough pictures to see our kids grow-up visiting there. The memories we have there will always be remembered. From a parent's point of view it really did strengthen our family. The family time we had there over the years was really terrific.
It was hard to do, but it was time to move on.
