So few RCI units in the Carribean

Does anyone know why there is such limited availability for the Carribean. We don't want the Dominican or Jamaica. Also don't want an all inclusive.

Very few timeshares. A lot of owners prefer to use their timeshares every year. People looking to trade in to the Caribbean do it earlier then stateside resorts.

When you only search the online inventory, you only see the leftovers, because the inventory that you see online is what is left over, after all the ongoing searches are matched.

Best practice is to put in a broad ongoing search AND watch the online inventory, as well.

I suspect that you need to use a strongish deposit.

I don't know what you're looking for exactly (date, size, price/TPU) but when I search Extra Vacations I can find quite a few that aren't inclusive and aren't Jamaica or Dominican Republic. You can sort by "all inclusive not required" and then by island/region. You can go to a Gold Crown resort in the Bahamas for Christmas this year or next, for example. Maybe there's more availability in II, I don't know.
