In Escondido and felt a quake about a minute ago. Mercalli intensity III here (at Lawrence Welk Mountain Villas).

II. Weak Felt only by a few people at best, especially on the upper floors of buildings. Delicately suspended objects may swing.

III. Slight Felt quite noticeably by people indoors, especially on the upper floors of buildings. Many do not recognize it as an earthquake. Standing motor cars may rock slightly. Vibration similar to the passing of a truck. Duration estimated..

IV. Moderate Felt indoors by many people, outdoors by few people during the day. At night, some awaken. Dishes, windows, doors disturbed; walls make cracking sound. Sensation like heavy truck striking building. Standing motor cars rock noticeably. Dishes and windows rattle alarmingly.

Looks like only a magnitude 3.3 centered very close to the Welk.
Didn't feel it up here in OC.

I felt it in North County San Diego. DH said it was a motorcycle, but I was sure it wasn't, and was just turning on the computer to confirm before bed.

Steve,

You know I know you aren't a rookie! Why post over just 3.3 magnitude quake? ;) That's just how we roll! :D

Of course I'm not a rookie (rode out the Loma Prieta in the Emeryville waterfront, about 1/4 mile from the collapsed section of the Nimitz). But with just one point I don't know if it's a minor quake nearby or the trace of a bigger event elsewhere. Especially with Welk sitting so close to bedrock, even a big quake won't have much affect.
