Anyone heard of them or used them?
My initial post was to see if anyone had experience with this hotel booking agent. I made a one night reservation for 10/18, my open night between two Marriott reservations. All reservations are nonrefundable and customer service is strictly done through "chat". That didn't bother me, until I tried to ask a question via chat. It was only then that I discovered the chat line is not manned by a human. The level of frustration I experienced blew my head off.

I will never use them again. So this post is now a warning.

I used Snap Travel 2 years ago. It was also for a one night stay before checking into our resort. I used it for Buena Vista Hotel. I can't recall the exact rate, but I know it was around $60 and included a buffet breakfast for us. (2 adults/2kids). I had no issues or complaints with Snap Travel at all. I am wondering if the CoVid situation has caused them to decrease the amount of customer service staff. This seems to be an issue with many places in travel/tourism. Wait/Hold times have also increased. I don't know what question you needed addressed, but was it something the hotel you were staying at could have helped with? Was your reservation lost? Were you overcharged on your credit card? Did you need to cancel or change your reservation? I am so sorry to hear you had a bad experience. I was referred to Snap Travel in another online forum. I respect the judgement of the person who referred me as we have similar travel habits in common. I gained alot of knowledge thru their experience so I didn't hesitate when they referred me to Snap Travel.

My reservation was for Lahaina Inn. Their website said they were to reopen on 10/15. I wanted to know if my room had a mini fridge. I called the Inns public number, no answer, left message. Did that a couple times, after 10/15. I started to be concerned that I was holding a reservation for a non operating hotel. That's when I attempted to reach them through their Chat customer service. (Their only service offered.) After a few attempts at asking questions I got the sense there wasn't a human working the chat line. Irritating because it would start with "Hi, this is John" like it was a person.

Fortunately there was a happy ending, no thanks to Snap Travel. I discovered that Lahaina Inn is affiliated with Royal Lahaina so I called them. They upgraded me, and here I am! Only trouble is that I had planned to walk the streets of Lahaina town.

I'm glad it all worked out. Your question was something that needed confirmation by the hotel anyway and I am glad they assisted and gave you a free upgrade.
