Has anyone else seen the latest FOX reality show Smile! You're Under Arrest.?

It's so bad it's almost funny. They dupe wanted felons to show up as a winner in a contest and humiliate them for a while on camera before arresting them.

The funnest one was a guy who came in and it wasn't the guy they were after.
Turn out that this guy stole the wanted felon's identity and showed up to collect the promised $300 winnings.

Fortunately, this loser ALSO had a warrant out for his arrest on something else so they took him in anyway.

If you haven't seen it, take a look. It might not be there next month.

The police are coming up with some interesting ways to find criminals. They seem to have a yearly round up where they invite hundreds of criminals to some convention center to receive something or meet someone. I think they've done it at the Meadowlands a few times now.

Are you referring to some of the TS salespeople - the ones with all the empty promises? :D

They DO? When do they do that? Remind me to stay away from the Meadowlands that weekend!

Probably everytime the Jets are playing, sure to be a few felons there. They'd probably do it up here at Gillette too except they're still too busy searching for Whitey. :D

Seriously though, it amazes me how people fall for these things. Someone says to me that I've won a TV and should come down to some function hall/stadium etc to pick it up I'm going to think twice if I have an outstanding warrant and haven't entered any contests lately.

You would think twice if someone cold-called you and said you won a TV/Ipod, etc. and to come to a stadium to get it, even IF YOU DIDN'T HAVE WARRANTS. That's how they end up with outstanding warrants: not too bright!

(If the felons with outstanding warrants were smart they'd come to TUG and start a thread with..."I got a call from...":hysterical: )

Yeah. I have seen it on the news at least 2 times over the past 2 years. I remember thinking how stupid the felons must be. The last time (I think just a few months ago), they promised a meeting and free autographs from some of the Giants players.
