I have Skype downloaded onto my computer, but I don't log on via my computer. I have a Skype phone that hooks directly into my router, and that phone is always logged onto my Skype account. However, I do notice when I try to look at an Ebay listing, a strange message from Skype asks me if it is OK to open the link (to the Ebay auction). I wonder if your daughter looked at her Skype account info online would she be able to find an option that would limit pop-ups. I don't know the answer. I'm just wondering.

I would get one every now and then - less than 1 per week. Perhaps she made her login name too easy to replicate by the spammers.
