What is the link to the Marriott Grande Vista site map? Any recommendations on which bldg to ask for (ie which ones are closets to activities, which ones are newly remodeled, etc). We are going there over Easter Break and have not been in several years.

Thanks

Within this posting from the FAQs on top the Marriott board, Dave has a line item and link for Marriott site maps.

Look for Marriott individual resort maps , about 1/3 the way down...

We were at MGV for two weeks in the beginning of February and watched an impressive major refurbishment of buildings 77 and 78. Interior, exterior and even windows. We stayed in building 82 for the first time. That had been refurbished in September 2011. I enjoyed building 82 but for some reason I felt that the villas were a little smaller but I'm not sure of that. Enjoy your stay.

It is possible that you had a 2BR side of a 3BR unit. Did the unit have two queen/double beds in the second bedroom? If so, then it would definitely be a 2BR side of a 3BR. Was there a small kitchenette in the second bedroom? If not, also a 2BR side of a 3BR unit. This is because building 82 does not have any non lock off units in it unless there are perhaps a few dedicated 1BR units there.

It was my impression that it was a traditional 2b2b lock off unit. There was a king bed and sofa sleeper in the second bedroom along with the limited kitchen. I also remembered a large pantry unit in the foyer area of a previous villa. I believe it was building 79 we stayed in during the summer of '08. This villa in building 82 had no pantry but did have a huge full length mirror in the entrance area instead. (The pantry would have been much more useful). Building 82 is nicely located.

My daughter and six of her friends (all college seniors) just spent last week there at GV on Spring Break, and I got them a fantastic unit in the 81 building, overlooking main pool and beach area. All said it was the best Spring Break they ever had, if not one of the best vacations ever. The weather was sunny, clear, and warm every single day-----temps in low-to-mid 80's----in other words, perfect.

They are not partyers, but enjoyed the pools, beach area, volley ball, etc......and really enjoyed being in that location. Personal opinion is you can't get a better bldg than that, unless you want peace and quiet somewhere along the remote area of the lake.

The kids were flabbergasted at how nice the resort was. Some of them had never experienced the Marriott timeshare brand before. A week in Orlando on college Spring Break, are you kidding? I wish I had been so lucky.
