Anyone have any information about the Silverleaf Resort in Galveston. We are looking to take a little drive down to Texas since gas prices are cheaper right now and I know that Silverleaf Resorts are pet friendly. Just wanting some info on it.

I am at Seaside right now. What do you want to know? The resort is cleaned up and all the units are open. The Presidentials are the only units with elevators but the elevators are not working right now. They have all been repaired since September but they are still waiting for the city inspection and permits to start operating them. They have cleaned up the area across the street on the beach front and graveled the parking lot there. The beach is clean.

Most of the restaurants are open now on the seawall and some shops. The Strand is cleaned up but the buildings still need lots of inside work. We only saw a few shops open. Moody Gardens is open.
