Probably good advice/warning. I sure wouldn't hire some el-freebo 'I'll drive your car to___________ for $XXX.XX'. No insurance, no references, no collateral, No nothing.
By the same token, unless one is moving a rare, valuable, collector car, I wouldn't call Passport Transport (a highly specialized carrier of rare, collector, and pre-production vehicles). But 'regular' movers like Mayflower, United, Allied, etc. Are insured, and have open car carrier equipment, that- if you are not in a big hurry for the delivery, can be fairly inexpensive- Though no car hauler is truly cheap.
