Hi,

A friend is at Vistana Villages and he was talking to a couple by the pool who want to sell their timeshare for $2-300, its a deeded week.

He was asking me what can you trade from the SVV, I am not too familiar with this timeshare so I asking if anybody has traded through II, RCI or through the Sheraton network.

Is Hawaii doable?

If it’s not a bella phase or key west phase with star options then it’s worth 1 dollar. Even if it has star options that transfer, if it’s not a platinum week it’s still not worth much. I wouldn’t buy vistana villages to trade. He can get a Sheraton desert oasis in Scottsdale for free and that would have much higher trading power.

have them find out what phase it’s in, then let us know. If it’s bella or key west give us a week it’s in.

You mention the Sheraton Desert Oasis , this is a volunteer resort so how can you trade - through II or RCI and if so what is the trading power.

I own DVC which I figured out the ins and outs - I'm trying for myself to buy Marriott or Vistana to expand my vacation options.

Thanks

When you say expand to mean buy something else so you don’t have to exchange your DVC points? Smart. I just picked up an RCI trader to get some last minute DVC inventory.
SDO is voluntary but it pulls some good interval inventory, interval doesn’t give a TPU number like RCI. we base it off what is reported with actual trades and what is seen using SDO as a search. I wouldn’t trade that in RCI (assuming you can enroll it in RCI) It’s much better in interval. If you pick up an MVC week you can exchange It in II and get MVC preference. If you pick up a Vistana voluntary you don’t get star options to use in the vistana network but you get preference to trade in vistana in interval. You can always exchange your voluntary in interval. The SDO is a mighty trader according to people here. Vistana now has preference in Marriott over all other interval owners and all Marriott has priority over interval members in vistana resorts. Exchange fees are lowered to 154 per exchange in these resorts.

if you want star options (which I recommend) you should look into vistana villages key west phase or Bella phase platinum weeks only. You’ll have star options plus exchanges in interval. I love my star options usage but also picked up a high point RCI unit for DVC. If it doesn’t work out I’ll go back to strictly vistana star options.

Hi,

Is SVV gold difficult to get a trade in IL for MVC resort? Like location wise LV, HI, Palm springs? I was thinking on getting 67k staroptions at this resort to trade thanks

I wouldn’t pick up a SVV GOLD to trade. If you want to trade pick up SDO.as I said earlier. If you want star options, then get SVV Platinum.
