Sheraton Vistana Villages Amelia Renovations

I put together a video of the before and after villa renovations they recently completed at Sheraton Vistana Villages. IMO they did a pretty good job here. A big improvement over the darker and dated look and feel. When we stayed in an unrenovated villa in Amelia we could certainly tell it was in need of a refresh Really like the changes in Amelia. If you have a chance to stay in one of these on your next stay, I say go for it!

I called them earlier and requested Amelia based on your video. I’m hoping to get one of these two bedrooms. Are all of them renovated or do I have a chance of being in an unrenovated one?

Thanks so much for the video. I own at Key West (haven't been to SVV in maybe 12 -13 years) so it is nice to see a different phase remodel. I appreciated seeing the before and after pictures for perspective.

Not sure, it has the same design look at Key West which was renovated a few years ago. They were moving on from Amelia into St Augustine.

The Bella villas were renovated in the last half of 2019, so it will be a few more years, unfortunately. The kitchen and the bathrooms, especially, really need an overhaul! Would love to see them follow the style of Marriott's Grande Ocean.

Loving the new renovations. This room is becoming my favorite. The grand vista blows it away in terms of the quality of kitchen items but I can deal with what they gave me. No Tupperware or ice bucket to keep my wine cold on the balcony, oh well I guess ill have to just drink the bottle before it gets warm.

When I come back in they 29th I’ve already requested the same unit. Lucky for me the elevator is going down for repair. Hopefully that means No one would want to be on the top floor or even in this building!

At a Sheraton, it's considered ok to put an ice cube in your wine, so you should be able to cope. Without the ice cube, you could always just get smaller bottles instead of jugs....

I can’t lie, it seems that’s the case. Boxed wine with ice cubes here at the Sheraton lol. If they wanted to Reno the place, they could have added the same offerings you get in the Marriott. Grand vista has really nice furnishings. While the Amelia decor is great, the furniture is quality and I love the master bath, the kitchen utensils and pots and pans are sub par.

I fly home Sunday then drive back down next Friday. I’ll be sure to pack the car.
