If I buy (resale of course) a red week (1-52) that's specifically deeded in one of their neighborhoods (or whatever they call them) when I book, will I always be in that neighborhood, or can it be in any of their neighborhoods? I'm currently staying at the Cascades via an RCI exchange, so I'd like to be able to stay at here again again. Let me know your thoughts.

If you buy Sheraton Vistana on the resale market, the only floating weeks are Cascades, Lakes and Fountains.

Cascades can book into Lakes and Lakes can book into Cascades.

The other sections are fixed weeks - Courts, Springs, Palms, Spas and Falls. If you buy a fixed week, you are assigned that unit in that section on a specific week.

When you make a home resort reservation, they are supposed to assign you to the phase that you own.

It may be possible for the resort to book you into another floating phase, however if you want to be guaranteed into Cascades, the only way to do that is to buy Cascades phase

Thanks so much for the feedback everyone. One last question. If I have a 2BR, EOY, can I split it into a 1 bedroom every year?

Not easily. You would need a lock off. Not all are. Deposit one side to interval and make a request for a 1 bed in your non use year. Paying interval their fees.
Of course in your use year you could use half easily.

Only if it is a 2 bdm. lock-off and if you deposit half of it in II or RCI to use for an off-year exchange. You won't be able to use it as a home resort reservation during the off-years.
