Do any Vistana Resort owners out there know which OTHER Starwood properties can be exchanged for WITHOUT joining the SVN network(which I believe can not be joined on a resale). A friend just bought a 2 bd in Lakes for $100.00. imagine what we all paid before TUG set us straight. I vaguely recall Jensens Beach if it is still operating and one other.

Thanks for the link but , after reading many of the posts, it appears that Vistana Plus no longger exists !!

So for a non developer resale in Lakes, are the only options II, RCI, or just stay in Vistana?

If SVN is still an option for a resale, how does one find out the cost and, from your perspective, is it worth it ?

II, RCI, or an independent, but because of the Starwood to Starwood preference, II gives the best value.

Not an option at SVR - SVN membership does not transfer on a resale.

Suppose a SVR owner is so happy with his/her unit, he/she NEVER seeks to go anywhere else. Given it is a high season floating week, is the system still there to just call a Vistana number and say I want week 6 or week 32? One does not HAVE to join an RCI or an Interval, do they, assuming there only goal at present is to stay on the property they bought?? If I am correct, at some point in the future, they can join a trading company and share in the excitement and aggravation the rest of us do, correct?

They can always used their home resort - is the week fixed or floating?

Yes - they can join an exchange company at any time.

I don't have my book in front of me as I am at Welk resort at Escondido this week. Lakes can exchange with Cascades and PGA at Port St Lucia. It is deeded that way and does not go away. It is not Vistana Plus but VCC/VVC.

PS. This Welk resort is surprisingly enjoyable. Having a great time here. I thought I would need to go off site and spend the entire day out to find amusement. This place has a local live theatre that has 1st class shows and an amazing farmers market on mondays. The weakness is food.
