We are new to the Sheraton Flex program but during the sales pitch they stated that the program has shifted from being able to book across all MVC properties from 8 months prior to a trip to now being able to do this 13 months prior. Does anyone have any information on how accurate this is?

Lies. Sales lips were moving.

You would need to convert your Sheraton Flex HomeOptions to Abound Club Points first. Those Club Points can then be used to reserve MVC properties at 13 months. You can then also make reservations at Sheraton and Westin Vacation Club resorts at 12 months. All based on availability and only using Club Points.

I asked that question to the bonvoy sales person regarding my wkorv property when she brought up the 13 month window and she said Westin owners were protected and 13 month window did not apply to Westin vacation property and that even though others had a 12 month window to book that Westin owners would get flagged and have priority booking. But keep in mind her lips were moving. Anything for a sale.

It would have been an Abound salesperson not a Bonvoy salesperson.

It is correct that Sheraton and Westin inventory is not available in Abound any earlier than 12 months, its in the FAQs in your Vistana account. There have been odd examples reported, but the rule applies in general.

There is no flagging of Westin owners to get priority booking in Abound. There is a priority period when they book via II, but not Abound.

We were on Kauai at Westin Princeville in August. The saleswoman lied outright about this very thing. She said if we make a purchase and enroll our Shadow Ridge weeks into Abound, we would be able to book 13 months out for Maui because we would be Chairman. I told her we are already Chairman, grandfathered after Marriott's takeover of Westin. I said no one can book ahead of me. It's always twelve months to the day, midnight Eastern. She argued with me and added, "Here, I can prove it." I told her we own multiple Marriott weeks and can book 13 months out with our legacy weeks, but we cannot book Westin 13 months out.

They lie and then double it down. At least the closer guy didn't continue with her same lies. He was honest and just told us what we would pay to enroll our weeks with a purchase of 4,000 points. No thanks.
