All,

We just returned from 4 nights at Sheraton Desert Oasis for Spring Training. I really liked the property, it wasn't as fancy as other timeshares for sure, but it has good fundamental infrastructure and the two 1BR units are terrific. It's about 25 minutes from where the Padres play, but that was fine considering the other places that we have stayed. We grilled twice and went out twice and were very happy with our visit.

It reminded me alot of the other desert properties I have visited (Marriott Canyon Villas and Marriott Shadow Ridge). The desert feel at all resorts is unmistakeable, but Shadow Ridge is much much bigger but I still felt the same vibe. We will definitely be back to this property for Spring Training and think it is a really good addition.

It struck me how infrequently I stay at a property that I actually own, nice to be there as an owner!!! We already booked next year's trip and looking forward to it!

Best,

Greg

That's awesome Greg. I just grabbed a Getaway at Westin Kierland for June. I saw an SDO come up in last minute but too busy right now to snag it. It would have been fun to run into you there.

Greg, glad you guys enjoyed your time there and at Spring Training. We haven’t stayed at SDO, but visited the resort when we were in town. Like you we thought the units are ok and the resort would be a good base for activities.

I would love to attend Spring Training some time. Tax season for Donna gets in the way, so I may have to make a side trip.

Best regards.

Mike

We own several weeks there and will finally stay next Spring Break. Scottsdale is a great home base for us when we visit family there.

we own SDO and kierland and i prefer SDO. we are here for 10 weeks this year and we are loving it. kierland is wonderful for a resort vacation but we feel more like we are home when we are here. it's friendly, we get to know people and it works for us since we spend most of our time in north scottsdale. i followed everyone's advice and i bought where i want to stay. no need for trading. working on piecing my 10 together for next year too.
