Heading to SBP the end of July. Does anyone know if they are planning on opening Splash Cove ? Booked for the grandkids and the little water park is the highlight of their trip. Any other info is also appreciated.
Thanks

From what my friend said, they are planning a big family vacation there in July, they were told, due to COVID-19, Splash Cove will be closed, something to do with shortage of lifeguards etc.All the other pools will be open, including the wade pools.

Here now, splash cove is closed for the season due to Covid-19. They have also shortened the restaurant hours they close now at 6pm.

Thank you for your replies. Disappointed but not surprised that they will be closed for the season due to lifeguards. We have been going for the last 7 years and they always seem to an issue with having enough lifeguards..

Quick question this is our first year coming... in the previous years that you came did they close the splash cove on days because of a life guard?

I have been going to SBP for about 10 years, Splash Cove has always been open, we have gone June,July and August. Never an life guard issue.

No they never closed Splash Cove because of lifeguards but I have been there when they closed the big slide and said it was because they were short lifeguards.
