...on my cel phone, I have been ignoring them but today decided to answer to tell them to leave me alone.

The lady gave me her opening line, I then said "I wish you would stop calling me because I really am not interested." She said if you do not tell them you are not interested then they will continue to call weekly. I said, "Well, I am not interested how do I get them to stop calling me. She then tells me I need tell them not to call me. I told her, I just told her twice I did not want them to call. She she got very nasty and again asked me if I was "sure", I said YES, and said she would put me on the no-call list...and she basically hung up on me!!

Such a pleasant company...

Yep, that is annoying to get sales calls from any company, and then to have them argue when you say you want to end the calls--WORSE than annoying.

What good is it to tell these folks you don't want another call, because they don't end. So it becomes harassment. That's the simple truth of it.

I had a guy who was trying to get upfront fees to list my timeshare. I told him not to call again. He called right back and said, "I am different." I said, "How can you sleep at night?" He said, "I sleep just fine." I hung up, and he called back again and was pretending he was snoring, and loudly. I hung up. He called back again, and I whistled as loud as I could into the phone. He didn't call back.

I cant really call it cold calling any more because of the do not call list. I can only call folks that I already have a business relationship with or folks that have given me their number and invited my call.

I have learned that out of a hundred of so dials, I can usually reach someone that is ready willing and able to buy my service, and happy that I called...So I call

When Im calling my past customers, or prospective customers that have entered their name and phone number on my website. I will call at least 5 times at different times of the day and evening and on weekends until I reach them (I usually give up after 6 or 7 no answers) Im always surprised when they finally answer, and on our first contact they say..."will you stop calling me" My stock answer is "this is the first time we've talked, Ive tried to reach you several times but you never answered" . If they had answered their phone the first time and just said "no thanks" they could have ended their apparent misery...

On of the beauties of the phone system, and why I like it a lot is that its a two way device. You can use it to call out, and others can use it to call you..If you dont like that feature, then just silence the ringer...you wont be bothered...send me to voicemail

Believe me...I dont want to waste time (mine or theirs) calling people that are not interested...just say no , or dont answer the phone.
