I have started watching the old reruns and enjoy the show.
couldn't sleep last night, got to thinking of the latest timeshare salesman rant against Tug on Facebook, and came up with this scenario.
Imagine a timeshare salesman going before the Sharks to get money to expand his development. I can just picture the questions the Sharks would ask and the evasive answers he would supply.
SHARK: Why would someone buy from you when they can get resale at a fraction of the price?
long rant follows.

somewhere along the line , developers decided the solution to resales was to take away as many privileges as possible. consequently, the resale value is gone. I remember back when Bluegreen took away bonus time unless you owned in the Vacation Club. Then that expanded to resales. While some posters felt that was a brilliant business decision, the resale value has fallen from maybe getting half to 2/3 what you paid, to selling for $1.

For those that follow Shark Tank, how long would it take for the Sharks to say I'm Out.

I am thinking that they wouldn't even get a spot. Though, hypothetically, if they did I don't know if the sharks would even ask about resales. Most people don't even think about them. I am sure the sharks don't own timeshares or even know what TUG is.

I would also think that any timeshare developer would need more money than any one of the sharks could offer. They are usually wanting something with small investment with a high chance of return. This would be the other way around.

"Hi, I'm Blake Barnewell and I represent Wastegate Vacation Ownersh"

"Are you kidding me? I'm out." (That was Cuban)
"I'm out"
"I'm out"
"My immigrant mother is still paying fees on her timeshare, I'm out"
"Good luck to you, but I'm out."
