For those Shadow Ridge owners, here is the skinny on day use privileges/restrictions from the new GM (my e-mail to him and his response):

In your newsletter, you stated that “Day Pass use will be limited during Spring Break and from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend to avoid overcrowding of the pool and parking facilities.”

Does this mean that there will be no Day Pass use "Spring Break" and between Labor Day and Memorial Day, or how will it be “limited”?

Thank you in advance for your reply.

It means the day use is limited during those times due to heavy capacity. You are more then welcome to call the resort 24hours in advance and we can let you know if the day use will be available.

Confused...

Davidvel - I am confused, as I own at Shadow Ridge, yet do not recieve the newsletter. Are there other pools that an owner can use, or are there restrictions for other Marriott's to use the pools? Any clarity is appreciated. Thank you, Jay

Jay-

I received the newsletter (link) in my e-mail. Here is the link to the newsletter:

Just to clarify, there are no restrictions when you are staying at the resort. "Day Use" is when you want to stop by (if you live or are staying nearby) on a drop in basis to use the pools, etc. For example you trade to Desert Springs, but your kids want to play in the splash area or water slide at Shadow Ridge, etc. Owners have a limited right to do this subject to capacity restrictions noted in my OP.

I am not sure how the pools at the enclaves will be restricted, if at all. FYI- the GM's e-mail is his first and last name (see newsletter) separated by a period, at vacationclub.com if you have any other specific questions. Let us know what you find out.

Should have a limited number of day use passes

One resort I own (Tahoe Beach and Ski) has a limited number of day uses passes-smaller resort, right on the lake. I think it is 20 passes per day. This is a nice benefit to owners, but doesn't impact those staying there too much. (They have a big beach area that I used last summer when I stayed elsewhee in Tahoe.) I assume Shadow Ridge has the same. Although probably higher umber, as I'm guessing it is a much larger resort. I would expect a number to be spelled out.
