Service Adjustment/Exchange Points

Is there documentation on the MVC website that explains exactly what restrictions are in place on these points? I searched but can't find a reference to quite that term.

I hope someone here can give a head's up on the restrictions of these.

How do you get these Service Adjustment points. Exchange points are just that, points you get for converting your week to DC points. Are these points from when you make a new reservation inside of 60 days to get the 20-30% discount? Or are they points from switching out one kind of points for another. Say switching out clean points for rented points?

I had a problem getting the "bonus" points following the initial purchase. This was the final result, so they were a bonus, but issued after the typical bonus points would be put into the account after a sale. I thought they were just regular points and could be used as any other point in a year.

When I made a reservation the receipt says if I cancel OUTSIDE of 60 days the points will go into a holding account. If I cancel inside 60 days the points are forfeited. I was curious if that is the norm with the extra one time points after a sale, of this is a different 'pot' still.

I am not complaining, just curious. I don't recall reading of this restriction before.

Those are definitely not the cancellation terms for uninhibited "Exchange Points" as they're defined in the governing docs. I think they are similar to the cancellation terms for any Exchange Points that are used to cover the 20% Premium for Owners to extend the Reservation Window? (See "Reservation Windows - Owner" on this chart.)

You're correct that the question should be, are they similar to the terms for any other bonus Points issued as a sales incentive. Hopefully there are others here who have made similar purchases, who will be able to answer your question. Good luck!
