We live in the area and can guide you to a wonderful week of sun and sand plus the exciting racing at the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club....Sure it will be a little crazy but this is the last week of the season and no big races are scheduled. Instead you can sit among the kings of the racing world with a Turf Club entry fee...enjoy the slower pace so you can learn the art of handicapping horse races. Wear a blue blazer as there is a dress code.

The beach less than a mile away is now the home of Bill Gates, so you can believe it is one of the finest in all of California. We know a great place to picnic on the grassy knoll above the Pacific and the crowds should be gone since the kids are back in school.

This only a studio and can be viewed at www.winnerscircleresort.com Looks like the first picture in the pics of the units.

The area is home to more than 25 places to dine within 10 minutes. If you want to enjoy budget to elegant dining, it is possible. The newest 5oz. seared ahi fish tacos are less than $6 with Baja style cabbage and salsa. In and Out burgers are famous, and that's right they have regular burgers for under $4 with extra lettuce, tomato and ketchup instead of their thousand island spread. Two locations inside that 10 minutes. Costco is close and with a kitchen you can buy your meals and drinks for the week...Trader Joes is as well and I can recommend a $5 bottle of French red blend I drink all the time....smooth and flavorful.

We have travelled to a lot of places around the world to enjoy beaches from southern Europe to Mexico and all the islands of Hawaii. Del Mar is one of the places that stands up to all of them...but the Pacific's Alaskan current keeps the water quite cool so I use a spring suit, short sleeves that I recommend.

The resort is not fancy but has been updated within the last five years. Its right next to the Fish Market restaurant, which has been in business for over 30 years, because the choose their fish very carefully. The race track is across the street and the beach about the same distance as the front gate. A car is needed and will save you more than you pay for the rental. Torrey Pines State reserve is about five minutes South and next to the golf course you see on TV...spectacular high cliffs above the ocean with dozens of hiking paths to explore some lead all the way down to the water from 300 above. This is one of the only places in Southern California where you can look in 180 degrees both directions and not see a single building...try and find that special spot.

Let me know if this can work for you.

@johnfornal Just came to say that you really know how to “sell“ an ad. Congrats on getting it rented.

The only thing missed. Weather in late September can be the best weather of the year for the Del Mar area.
