I'm wondering if anyone knows if I should try and sell my property, which was previously a timeshare. Are there legal ramifications? Could I 'buy out' the people who have access to my home. The reason I am asking is that I have several La Quinta properties which are now going back up in value, according to recent real estate reports in my area. Thanks!

You'll have to tell us a lot more info before we can give you any advice.

What do you mean "my property, which was previously a timeshare" How is it that the property isn't still a TS?

I think you'll find you can only sell whatever you own. If you own a quartershare of a house, that's what you can sell. If you own 23 timeshare weeks in the same place, that's what you can sell, etc. If you did buy all of the interests in a unit, you might be able to consolidate them into one whole ownership, but I wouldn't count on that as I believe many/most deeds prohibit that.

For any real advice you would need to provide more information about what/where you own.
