Do you have a contract document that sets out the terms you mention?
If not ignore it as its just bait.
If you do have a contract then study it and your existing contract very carefully to see what they really want your founder contract back for.

I suspect any "buy back" requires you to purchase and spend more money. So in a sense this isn't a buy back but rather just mathematical gymnastics to make something that isn't a good deal seem like it is. In general, anytime they want to "upgrade" your ownership, it isn't a good deal for you. Just continue to use what you have. More often than not it is better than what they are trying to sell.
