Does anyone know anything about Jukeboxes? We have a Seeburg 1950's Jukebox that we inherited from my husband's parents. Unfortunately, we just do not have room for it in our house and want to sell it. I have checked on Craig's list and EBAY and the "asking price" for such jukebox's is around $3000, but like timeshares, I don't know if that is reasonable or if they have a snowball's chance in hell of actually getting anywhere close to that. It is in good condition and is loaded with 45's which would go with it. We want to get a fair price, but are not concerned with it being the "best" price. We just want someone to come and take it off our hands and leave us with a little coin. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. The ideas I get from people on this forum are the greatest!

THanks

Debbie

P.S. After re-reading this, I thought it may be misconstrued as an ad. It is absolutely not. I am looking for some advice as to how to go about selling it for a fair price.

Once owned these: FirstFairway@Walden X 2; Lawai Beach; ManhattanClub; PuebloBonitoRose; 4 South Africa--now timeshare-free
I had success selling large antique-type items on Craigslist when we moved from the Seattle area. Maybe there's a consignment shop in your area that would take it if you want to get it out of your house. Pick a price and try selling it. Maybe you'll get some offers.

Which model Seeburg is it? If you decide to sell it, I may have a wallbox to go with it.

The trick with jukeboxes is getting them in and out of a basement. They are VERY heavy. If I ever move, they will be left in the basement for the houses new owners. I have a 50's style basement.
The specific model and condition will determine its price. Many can be bought for a couple hundred dollars.

We are in the same train of thought.

Look on ebay listings there are collectors for this. The model we have sold for $2500 in mint condition. Ours is a Seeburg Selectomatic w/ records and it is also from my FIL.
