We are looking at a week in Sedona in April and very excited. Children are 11 and 9. We are fine with a one bedroom, but probably need more than a studio to have cooking options.

Can anyone give some advice on our current options? I'm finding so much conflicting info!

Sedona Pines: 1 bedroom. Looks cute but not fancy?
Sedona Ridge: 1 bedroom. Resort doesn't seem to rate that well -- why?
Highlands Resort at Verde Ridge: 1 bedroom. Reviews are great but people stil don't seem to rave about it!

I'd appreciate any input. Thanks!

Sedona Pines- Converted trailers. Looks cute but not fancy. Not actually in Sedona but a few miles out of town (south).
Ridge at SGR- I should probably read the reviews but, I am an owner there and think it's pretty darn good HOWEVER, it is also NOT in Sedona either (located in Oak Creek Village which is east) and the town's claim to fame is four traffic circles.
Highlands Resort- Again, all three are NOT in Sedona. This one being even further away - it is closer to the WalMart in Cottonwood-if that matters to you.

Just about any other resort that claims to be in Sedona actually is so be aware. Of course, all of these are within an easy 20-30 minute drive to downtown Sedona so, not too far away.

We've stayed at Los Abrigados right by Talaquepaque, and love the location. The units aren't as nice as some other resorts (older resort with limited kitchens), but it's a short stroll to the shopping/restaurants in Talaquepaque and uptown Sedona. We've also stayed at Sedona Summit and loved the units there. The 1BR is easily big enough for 4, they have full kitchens, large bathrooms, and fireplaces - which will be appreciated in April. Lots of pools and hot tubs at Sedona Summit, too, and although it's located west of town, it's only a short drive to some spectacular hiking trails.

We LOVE Sedona!

Arroyo Roble is right in the town - very convenient.

We stayed last week at Hyatt at Pinion Pointe. The resort was in a great location in Uptown. The views were great. Everyone was accommodating at the resort. The rooms and activity center were great. It was a very enjoyable trip.
