Hey there, we are looking to go to Vidnanta Nuevo Vallarta for Spring Break 2020 (Fri Mar 20- Fri Mar 27) through RCI. (don't want to rent, have too many points..)

It seems all the 2BR's are taken. (looking to get at least 2 BR's)

We've been to Nuevo Vallarta before, and really liked it and plan to go with friends this time.

If Nuevo Vallarta was booked solid, where would you go next?

We were just in Riviera Maya this past November. We loved it. Staying in a Grand Mayan we were central to everything. Nothing was more than a 10 minute walk and felt no need to use the shuttles. When we stayed at NV everything was a long walk away. That meant we were using the shuttles and found those to run irregularly. There were certain shuttle routes that we found difficult to find.

Don't get me wrong. We enjoyed the resort. The lazy river and pools were wonderful. The restaurants were very good and the meal package really helped make it more affordable. But even just getting to town was a trek.

We've been to RM and NV locations. We much prefer the RM location. I've read good things about their Puerto Penasco location as well.

Good luck.

We've been to only NV and RM. Both are excellent for families in my opinion. I would say RM is a good choice if NV is fully booked. The new Lazy River water park is now open, beach club and Salum are very nice. I would recommend booking into the Grand Luxxe so you have access to all pools. I think if you book through SFX you'll have same access as owners but I'm not sure. Maybe someone else can confirm?

If you book into Grand Luxxe, I suggest you request to be in Tower 1. This location is closest to Lobby and shuttle pick up (no long waits like other areas). Close to Grand Luxxe pool and main area (Mayan Pool, Havana Moon, Beach, etc.)

RM would be a solid choice, but the only GL weeks I have seen in RCI for there are the occasional 2 BR Spa or a 1 BR Jungle Luxxe as a platinum priority access availability. I don’t think the spas would show up in March anyway. If you go there, you might get into GB, but that’s also typically a platinum priority access one and might be tough in March.

MP PV is nice and easy to get out in town from.

Just know that if you choose RM, Jungula is pretty expensive for a group. The lazy river, wave pool, and water slides are premium, but you must buy a day pass to use them.

You need to set up an ongoing search. It will match. Don't just take from what's sitting online.
