Searching on Amazon

For any amazon pros. How can I search for the item with the lowest price when searching for items. For example kids crocs. For the same style there can be 30 different colours and 10 - 20 different sizes using different measurements. The price range is $15 - $35. Is there a shortcut to finding the ones for $15?

After initial product search, did you try sorting by price - lowest to highest in the search box, upper right corner beneath the Amazon banner?

Kind of on-topic for your question: I did a Google search to see if there was a way to search Amazon for the lowest price on a product, and I found a link to this price-check tool: http://www.savings.com/pricejump

It's supposed to tell you the lowest price on a certain item. I haven't tried it. YMMV.

Yes but it still gives me a range of prices for that product based on size and colour.

Did you try the link I put up? It apparently isn't just Amazon, but if you can get a lower price elsewhere, isn't that even better?

I understand what you're asking, and I don't like the way Amazon does it. This video presents a method of finding the answer. However, it's not a simple shortcut though.

It brings up individual sizes and colours and the price but only a few.

When you search on Amazon, it doesn't give you the option to sort by price until after you've selected a department.

I just did a quick for "flip flops". On the left side of the page there are options to narrow your search. As you pick options, the page refreshes and new/additional options appear. I didn't see an option to display by price, but there was an option to display by price range, so if you pick the lowest range, the size, (for kids), the color, and crocs, you should be very close to what you want. You can also pick a price range, so if you pick a very narrow price range, ($15- $16) that should get you even closer.

Once you select a category, the Sort By option appears in the upper right-hand corner (below the headers).

I believe this is an example of what the OP is asking. Look at these shoes on Amazon and you'll see a broad price range ranging from $92 to $163 which depends on the size and the color of the shoe selected. Then if you're curious which shoe is priced at $92 (the low price), you end up having to click on each shoe option, which can be a little aggravating. The video link I posted above has the answer, but it's not a simple process.

Yes thanks. This seems to be best solution so far. All I want to look at is boys crocs, size, 8-9, 9, 10 or the same size in a different sizing. Not an easy task. I like to shop online to avoid the hassle of going through may items to get want I want but it is not easy in this case.

Having this same issue. Same item different colour and size can go from $9.99 to $59.99.

Like Michael said, you have to first select a department that you want to search in. You can also go down sub headings as well (Clothing, Shoes, and Jewelery --- Boys --- Shoes). Once you have done this you can type in your search term (i.e. "crocs") and then use the sort function from low to high price. I usually tick off the "prime eligible" box on the left so that I don't have additional shipping costs muddying the waters.

You can narrow down what you want using the left hand menu by checking off your son's shoe size. Amazon will still show you the price range for each listing, but they will be in order from least expensive to most expensive for the particular size that you have checked off.

Sorry, it's a long explanation, but Amazon is essentially a gigantic database with regular file hierarchy so it is at least logical.
