The Seafood Expo North America in Boston Massachusetts has been postponed because of coronavirus concerns, organizers announced on Tues. March 3, 2020.

The Seafood Expo North America/Seafood Processing North America trade event “will not take place as scheduled in March and is postponed while we look at other options,” event organizers wrote.

The marquee event which draws an international crowd of dealers and attendees was scheduled to take place from March 15 to 17 at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center in the Seaport.

Boston’s Seafood Expo is the largest of its kind in North America.

Do they cancellations really make a difference when people still travel freely. I can see companies not wanting to have everyone meet up for fear everyone gets exposed and have to take time off work. But other then that not much too stop it spreading.

Actually surprised it was cancelled. Possibly a large % of dealers are international and they are getting feedback they can’t come.
