We belong to VI Resorts and are wondering if anyone knows the layout of Sea Village in Kona for the VI rooms? We understand they have more 1 bedroom, than 2 bedroom. Interested in knowing how many are situated with a view of the water, or on the water. Thanks!
Building 1 faces Kona Harbor and has very good views. We had 1 bed unit on the third floor in this building and it was nice regarding view and ocean sounds. The second floor would be good too.
Building 2 has some decent rooms. We had a 2 bedroom on the second floor and the view was the bbq's, pool then the ocean. I like building 1 better. The first floor is not really good for views.
Building 3 facing the pool and resort grounds but has ocean views on the second floor. There are also ocean facing rooms at the end of this building with all rooms having ocean view but most of this end is part of Diamond Resorts inventory. We had friend in a 2 bedroom second floor room that was pretty decent regarding view.
Building 4 is a building that should be very nice regarding views. I haven't seen an actual room on this particular building.
None of the VI inventory had air conditioners, only fans. We had the windows open 24/7. You can hear everything that goes on so sleeping in is not really happening. The birds are what you wake up to in building 2. Building 3 on the 3rd floor is quiet enough. The ocean is the main noise and is easy enough to sleep through. Birds will perch on the edge of the roof and deck rails so some mornings it sounds like some thing is screaming into the room. The doves are the first and worst noise but not the loudest. Some freakishly small black and white bird is the loudest. Since there is no air conditioning and the windows are open all of the bird noise can be heard for about an hour. Then they go away.
