Just want to know if anyone has exchanged their SDO thru RCI? How much is membership fees? Exchange fees? Did you get a good exchange? Will you do it again?

I just turned in unused 2015 usage for 23 TPU. Not sure if the value would be higher if I'd turned it in earlier or not.
It's good 'til 2017.
Haven't gotten an exchange yet.

You can look the other stuff up on RCI (fees, etc).

Uptrading is going to be easier in II than in RCI using SDO as long as the places you want to go are available through II. I have a small 1 br SBP, in addition to Starwood preference it can pull 99% of available 2 br or smaller inventory in II that is not in another systems preference window.

In RCI 25 my be a little above the average deposit but the fees overall are higher and the tpu's from a single deposit will only get about 65% or so of RCI's total availability.

I have both because I have multiple but if I only had a single voluntary starwood unit, I would stick with II unless I had a specific exchange that I knew was unlikely or impossible with II and likely with RCI.

Where and when are you trying to go?

In II, you get the Starwood to Starwood priority.

In RCI there is no priority - you get x number of TPU's and use them for an exchange.

So the real question is where do you want to go, because most resorts are not affiliated with both RCI and II.

So you should choose an exchange company based on: 1) where you want to go, and 2) whether you have enough trading power for the exchange or not.
