Scottsdale resorts and DEX questions

We are seeking to add 2 more days to a Scottsdale visit. There are nights available via Destination Exchange cash getaways at Scottsdale Mirage and Scottsdale Links resorts. We also came across Cave Creek which looks interesting but no availability.

1) Which resort is better? (we don't golf so that is not important)
2) Does DEX cash getaways charge resort fees for owners?
3) Has anyone stayed at Cave Creek? How is it?

Do you also pay the DEX cash Getaways charge on the website for owners and does DEX cash Getaways charge taxes and resort fees for Club Owners?

I don't know for sure, but my guess is that DEx cash Getaways are treated as rentals and are likely to incur resort fees. They don't charge resort fees whe it is an exchange in DEx, but there is always language that if you are renting you will be charged resort fees.

Cave Creek! I know nothing about any T/S in that area, but I always recommend at least a day trip to anyone staying N Scottsdale for sure! I took my most recent guest, a dear girlfriend, and she loved it! I've never had a bad time in Cave Creek.

The real question is when will you be there? What month?

It's a simple, dusty, touristy place with terrific watering holes and a bit of shopping. It's popular on a football Sundays, and with the older, biker crowd. There's a wonderful thrift store there b/c it is an affluent area. And, there is some hiking nearby.
