I'm read some of the reviews and this resort is top notch. Surprised we were able to get it. Excited for our first 1 week WM reservation.

We've visited most of the cities & towns on the Oregon coast except Depoe Bay, other than driving through.

What are your favorite things to do in that area?

Tidal Raves is a short walk south of the resort. We really liked the food and the dining room has great views. Just walking around the resort next to the ocean was among our favorite things to do.

I like to catch dungenous crab off the cliffs or off the docks for at least a day. If you like to fish you can take a charter out of Depoe and catch sea bass and ling cod. Some of the charters do crab as well. The WM Depoe Bay is also known as Whale Point. You should take binoculars. The whales should be in the area close to shore in June. There are many things to see driving HWY 101. Seaside and Canon Beach to the north are fun to visit. Farther north is Astoria and the Columbia River. Heading south there are many attractions worth seeing. In Lincoln City there is a decent casino if you like that type of thing.

Watching the boats cruise in and out of the short entrance to the bay off the bridge is kind of fun. If you golf my favorite course in the area is Salishan.

We usually explore the areas off HWY 101. There are old Forts, Light Houses, natural rock formations like the Devils Punchbowl and Thors Well. Thors Well is pretty a pretty cool thing to see at sunset on a clear day. The mist off the well turns gold.

There is no beach in front of the WM Depot Bay but the beaches near Depot Bay that are rocky have really nice tide pools with all sorts of sea critters.

I think you will really like the area. It can be a bit chilly on the coast in June.

Just sitting on the balcony watching the resident whales and listening to the ocean. Exploring trails in the area. We are lucky Depoe Bay is our closest drive to resort.
