Scan-to-Buy Gets a Trial on Television- by Stephanie Clifford/Business Day Technology/The New York Times

QR codes are becoming more popular - especially in newspapers and magazines. Using a QR code can provide a link for viewing multiple pictures and more info, thus overcoming space limitations of print media.

I think QR codes will be slow to catch on, if ever, with television.

I don't know, I might be inclined to pull out my iPhone and scan a code on TV. I tend to be an Ebay/Bill Me Later shopper rather than HSN or QVC....
