I received a call the other day from Resort Vacation International. They were offering to rent my Vacation Village bonus weeks for at least $1400 per week, guaranteed, and possibly more. They told me I had an unlimited number of these weeks, which I'm pretty sure I don't, and that they had to cap the number of weeks at 4 so they could offer this service to others as well.

I mean, who wouldn't want an extra $5600 in their pocket, right? All I had to do was pay $1995 to activate this service. What a bargoon!

I declined. Looked them up on BBB and found many complaints.

If there were complaints then that would suggest that there are people paying the prince to get the millions

Yeah, I've seen the ones for the exit companies and for renting your week/points. But, this one is rather specific to Vacation Village. VV gives their owners, who bought from the developer, extra weeks with a limited booking window that can be booked on RCI for the cost of an exchange fee without impacting your points allotment. They're very similar to the certificates that Interval gives out but not limited to shoulder seasons.

This same scamming company cold called me too. I had to pry the company name from them as they gave me the run around when I first asked. I informed the poor lady that what she was peddling is a scam and 100% not true. I do think that many of the reps don’t have a clue that their script they are to follow is a complete lie.

Why are you answering the phone for a number you don't recognize?

I was actually responding to a voice mail message that made it sound like they were from Grandview and had an offer I'd be interested in. I go to Vegas every November for my business. It's the reason I bought at Grandview. Thought I might be able to use whatever it was they had to offer. It's happened before.
