New guy here. Last week visited WKORV (fantastic stay) and bought a 2BR EOY unit at Princeville Kauai for the asking price of $33,500. As an incentive they awarded 120,000 Star points and an option to purchase an additional 80,000 for $1550.
They also offered a one year option to purchase an additional week to make it every year for an additional $22,000.

THANK YOU folks here at TUG for saving me many thousands of $$$$$.
Had until tonight to rescind the deal, which I did yesterday.
Again, many thanks.

That's an excellent point. One could trade into WKORV at will with very little up front cost and a fraction of the MFs.

Feel free to post in the Starwood and other forums that you may be interested in and learn about the different systems and get advice as to what your best options are to achieve your vacation goals.

And- give yourself a pat on the back for coming here first and not getting so caught up in vacation mode that you looked back in a week or two and realized you spent thousands more than you needed to to get exactly the same reservations. Double congrats for that- since you saved well into the five figures!!

Oh, Hallelujah! It is so wonderful to read stories like this. I dearly wish we'd been as smart before we bought our first ... three, I believe. I knew there had to be a resale market, but I didn't know where to look. We were tasty bait for the sharks.
