Yes.....apparently The previous Board did not do their jobs. So now the 575 dollar maintenance fees with insurance are around 765 dollars. I think the Manager and Head of The Board are trying very hard to get this under control. I have spoken with both of them and I trust them so far. If this continues like a snowball going down a hill I will be ready and willing to turn all my timeshares back in. I would hate to do this but I am holding on by a thread financially. I am hoping for the best and I am looking at the ocean right now.

I think you overestimated the % increase, but a $190 hike in the fee is excessive. Is the board an independent group or is it controlled by the developer ? Perhaps you should seriously consider getting rid of any weeks more than you need. Oceanfront timeshares tend to have higher maintenance costs due to being on or near the ocean.

$765 doesn't seem excessive for a week of timeshare to me. Without knowing the details I suspect the fees were too low before as opposed to being too high now.

Did the HOA have a Reserve Study to set a proper reserve amount in the m/f? That is where some HOA's go astray.

How many owners own at this resort and how many owners paid their maintenance fees on time?
