Does anyone know if there is a good place, easy to find, at the airport in San Juan, Puerto Rico to meet up for people travelling on different airlines before going to their lodging. My husband and I will be on a different airline than my sister and her husband and none of us have ever been to this airport. We had an interesting time doing same in Cancun last year and don't want to repeat it.

I would suggest the baggage claim area. Be careful with the rental car companies many of them charge crazy deposits and random fees. Also, DO NOT be fooled on your way back home. You will need to arrive 2-2.5 hours before your flight to ensure you make it. Be sure the first thing you do when you get to the airport to depart is to go have your bags USDA inspected. If my disabled mother had not been with us we would have missed our flight. We were just there in April of 2011 so if you need any additional info PM me.

Last time we were there a couple of years ago, there were horrendous lines from the passengers from cruise ships. If it is a Port day, get there plenty early. If we didn't have Elite status, we might still be in line.:p

Cheers

There appear to be three terminals, although they're connected. If you're both flying the same airline, you could pick the baggage claim area. If not, you'll need to pick a common place not behind security.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sju -- go here and click the link for the airport. The actual site name has accented characters I was unable to paste here.

http://www.b-v-i.com/Transportation/SanJuanAirport/ has an overall map. American is in concourse D & E, Delta and a couple of others are in C, and some in B. A hasn't opened yet. Somewhere in the middle of the D/E complex, there is a very nice open room where there are some historical displays, and several food places. This would be good.
