Wyndham is transitioning to wristband keys. Such an improvement. No fumbling around looking through your pockets for the key. Something like this is long overdue. It's genius.

I actually like those. I have one for Marriott from a Gaylore which I take with me when I travel. Most of the other Marriott hotels can actually reprogram them like they do a card, they just haven't ever seen them before. That would be an upgrade!

We do the same. We've used the same wristband keys all winter in Florida except at Emerald Grande. For some reason they won't work here. Maybe it's because Emerald Grande is not a Wyndham managed resort and they have a non compatible key system.

I love the wristband keys - especially when a beach and a pool are involved. I do wish they also worked for entry into the parking garage as well - one less key to keep up with. Perhaps that is a future upgrade.
I didn’t like the small keys, I found wrist bands awkward. However to go to the beach we had to have another key ... ( at least in December) actually the old keys which worked the beach gates.
We arrived st 9:30 pm on Dec 11 th after a day of flying from Seattle, and the”wrist band station” kept us there 45 minutes begging us to go to a presentation. I could not believe it... never again at OW will I get the pool wrist band from them ... it was quite cold and windy anyway, the pools were pretty empty.

The wrist bands at ocean Walk are funcinal only for the door. We needed up with a wrist bands for the door, a card for the parking garage entrance and a third for the door in inside the garage lol.

I’m sorry, but the wrist band or parking pass people can’t keep you waiting for 45 minutes unless you let them. I haven’t been to a presentation in about 3 years now and I’ve never had to wait more than a couple of minutes. The first time they ask, say NO, nothing more. The second time they ask, say NO, but more forcefully. That is usually all it takes. If they try again, simply say I’m not going to a presentation, give me my wrist band/parking pass, whatever. These people are being rude by continually badgering you to go to a presentation. It’s okay to be rude to them so you can get to your room.

Agreed. Same with the sales people. There is zero reason these things should take hours unless you let them. If you’re not going to buy, get up and walk away after your hour. Give them a polite “thanks, but no thanks. Our time is up. Show me to my gift please” and get up and walk away. Don’t care if they are still talking. Walk towards the gift desk or the door. Either one. These people like to say they were held “hostage” at the sales meeting. They were fully capable of getting up and walking away. They just chose not to.
