I was told they filed for bankruptcy and are all closed. When did this happen? I liked them.

July

I was there twice in July. I know they had filed for bankrupcy, but most in the Tampa area were open then. (I hope the didn't close.)

Curious

Okay, this made me curious. Went to Sam Seltzer's website and it listed only 6 restaurants still open. I know that there had been more than that. Don't know how current website was, but I was at two of them in Tampa area in July. Those had started serving lunch and had some good lunch specials. The first one we went to wasn't very busy, but went to the one in St. Pete by Tyrone Square Mall and it was pretty busy at lunch time.

the one in fort Myers was always packed, even in off season. I am surprised at this news. Anyplace i can afford can't stay in business.

I apologize for the typo - I should have said "Brandon" not "Bradenton" in my earlier post.

At any rate, from the linked article it says - "To turn things around, the company closed another three restaurants on July 14.

No longer operating are locations at Brandon Town Centre, Port Charlotte Towne and Altamonte. It had already closed two restaurants in Lakeland and Palm Harbor. "
