Sales Presentation at Grand Chateau

Went to presentation for 100.00 Amex gift card. This was not a high pressure sale by any means. He said I could not get any good trades from II because they won't have any inventory. Weeks owners are trading them in for points. Tried to sell me 3,000 pts to get me to the presidential level. Then tried to sell me 1,000 pts after he already said the smallest you could buy was 2,500 was told several new places coming online in near future and the price for pts will go up.
Also said the 4th tower at MGC will start soon. I did see the rooms in the recently finished 3rd tower and they look great. At the end the encore package was presented for 195.00 today and 100.00 a month for ten months. We said no thank you and left with our gift card.

I have read the same comment about inventory and week owners trading for points countless times the last year. I guess I started believing it. This is why I put in a trade for a Monarch Aug 13 for a Grand Ocean July 24th 11 months out. It was a request first and it took a full 48 hours to get confirmed. Early summer I traded a non Marriott for Ocean Pointe for Christmas. It was only a studio put again no problem. The comment can be true or maybe, just maybe the sales teams are saying untruths.

We had same presentation at Crystal Shores. Rep said minimum points were 1500 @ $12.96 I believe. We said no and another person came with a different angle before they sent in yet another person with encore offer $195 down and $100 month for 10 months. We didn't bite on any of it.
