We're staying this week at Kierland and got an interesting follow-up...after the first phone call for the owner update/Sales pitch (said no), got a lengthy email explaining that due to COVID and other issues, there's a big push to make changes now and get 2-3x incentives. Has anyone experienced this anywhere? Was it worthwhile - it's usually not, so I'm skeptical. It appears they are doing more buy backs recently (we got a simliar pitch in Kaanapali. My EOY Desert Willow with high fees might make it worth it. Thanks and also thanks for posting the maintenance fee database!

Replying to myself to include the "deal" emailed me (quite handy). I'll do some more research on FlexOptions to be sure, but let me know your thoughts on this. I'm looking to get rid of the MF at the Palm Desert places, especially that EOY (why did I ever buy that?).

Is it Westin Flex or Sheraton Flex? Sheraton Flex has zero value and will be very difficult, if not impossible, to get rid of. There are much cheaper ways to get StarOptions by buying a mandatory resale week.

I spoke with someone on the phone who called me to retro two of my voluntary weeks and add a 67,100 option package plus cash in my encore for around 16-17k and I would become 4* elite. It was very tempting and taking the time to digest the info. My two WLR weeks would become 296,200 options. Even though we bought lagunamar to go there during spring break with extended family, it would be nice to go stay at KOR/N or Princeville! I can’t remember what flex package it was...

Based on the MF and pricing this looks like Sheraton Flex. Westin Flex is more expensive.

it is funny how the 35% discount is based on the price after the equity trade. If you use the pre-equity amount it is around a 13% discount - actually slightly worse that the normal 15% that they give. OP -I would probably pass on this deal. What season are your existing units?
