Mayan, that's VIDA, there is a very high probability the answer is yes. Have they asked for money? Can be in any form, if they want any money say no. I received emails from VIDA warning me about every 3 months about such scams. Reputable companies take thier monies out of proceeds.

Raygo's advice is simple -- and very sound.

Once they have your money, what is their incentive to sell?

Welcome to TUG.

Any time a new member starts a post with "anyone have any experience with ____" or "anyone ever heard of _____"

IT'S A SCAM

There are NO reputable companies calling timeshare owners out of the blue to offer to sell or rent out their units.

The simple truth is the demographic who bought timeshares 10 - 20 years ago, is now reaching the age where they cannot travel. These outfits are looking to victimize those owners with promises of a sale. They make it sound like they will sell your timeshare, but what they are really offering is to "market" your timeshare. They place an ad on a website for a price that sounds good to the seller, but will never be attained. They take the seller's money - upfront - and then vanish. Timeshare is still in seller's name and maintenance fees are still due.

They change their name and move on to the next victim. That's why it does not matter what their name is.

I have heard the same question asked on another forum about that company. Yes it is a scam. They made an unsolicited call to you. They are offering 2000+ times market resale value and despite what they initially claim, they will have a fee or fees before the sale can go through. The sale will never go through.
