I recall that you used to be able to use the gym/fitness center at the Orlando World Center Marriott Hotel too. Not sure about that now.
This also applies to all three of the Palms properties.

You can use the fitness center at the World Center and it's very close to SP. There is a small workout room at Sabal Palms and you also have access to Royal Palms facilities. I used all three when I was there because each one had slightly different equipment and I got my cardio exercise by walking to Royal Palms.
This is an interesting discussion. DSVI gets day pass access to the Spa at Desert Springs. This is like a day spa, saunas, steam room kinda stuff as well as an adult only pool. As the spa is adults only. DSVI also has access to the hotel pools. For DSVII, I don't think hotel pool access is "official". However we have often stayed in low/off season and went to the hotel pools. The pool gates are not keyed or if they were we were able to get in. The resort shuttle never said anything picking us up from DSVII shuttle stops and going to the hotel with what was obvious pool attire. Perhaps it depends on the season, or perhaps the pools at the hotel are open to DSVII guests. I am not sure. But day passes for the Spa at Desert Springs is certainly a benefit only available to those staying in DSVI. Day passes are not avaialble on weekends and there might be another day of the week that the spa is closed.
