Looking to be in Orlando in late april.....I've stayed at Grande Vista and Lakeshore Reserve. I have it narrowed down to Sabal Palms or Cypress Harbour for the week I need. Any preferences?

Disney trip or nondisney?

sabal is a better location for easy access to wdw.

cypress harbour is a newer resort with more to do at the resort (not counting that sabal has access to the world center hotel resort). but it is a little farther (not much) from wdw...right near sea world - don't think it's very far from grande vista...

Disney only for 2 days.....I'm leaning toward cypress harbour. We will probably be spending more time at the resort than normal.

just stayed at Sabal. Very convenient for wdw plus has access to the large Marriott hotel. Nice to be able to walk around the entire complex. Decent units, though not large, but very limited views. Not the best resort ever but you could do much worse.

Sabal for a stay with adults only and Cypress with children.

Cypress units are bigger and resort is really nice. Spa and work out facility is very upscale for a time share. No restaurant on site other than the typical Marriott stuff. Around the corner from Sea World.

Sabal. Older, not really a resort, but it is on the grounds of the World Center that is a big resort complex. No real feel for anything that defines itself, but units are great and proximity to Downtown Disney is about 10 minutes closer than Cypress.

I would go look at reviews, pictures, etc. and make a decision.

Bottom line is that you will be happy with both.

Cypress units are bigger.....

I am not sure that is really true. I think most Sabal Palms units are 1360 square feet and Cypress units are 1345 square feet per marriott.com. In any event, both are very nice resorts.

The units at Sabal aren't all the same size, and I have only stayed in the smaller configuration that was about 1250 sf. Let me change my answer.....The units at Cypress feel bigger to me. Here's why. At CH you enter the unit and basically have a foyer with a laundry room on one side and the second bedroom (small) on the other. The rest of the main area is wide open and leads to a screened in balcony. Sabal is broken up more like a true condo or town house with a kitchen separate from the other living areas (or at least it is tucked in a corner). It seems smaller to me. I actually really like the lay out of Sabal.

Sabal Palms, Cypress Harbour and Lakeshore Reserve (in that order) are my favorite Orlando resorts. You can't go wrong with any of them.
