Foxrun Resort: Hurricane Helene Updates
Dear Owners,

We hope this message finds you safe and well. As you are likely aware, your resort and the surrounding area was greatly impacted by Hurricane Helene. Access to the area continues to be limited to emergency responders and essential supply deliveries.

We are in communication with our team members, and happy to report that all employees are accounted for and safe.

At present, the resort is closed to allow the staff and Capital Vacations management teams, to conduct a thorough assessment of the property and begin the restoration process. The situation remains fluid, and we appreciate your patience while we work through restoration protocols, including insurance claims, and await word from local authorities as to when it may be safe to return to the area.

We ask that you do not call the resort, rather await further updates from us. If you have a reservation impacted by the closure, you will be contacted by our Owner Services Department.

Thank you for your understanding and patience during this time. Our thoughts are with everyone in the affected areas, and we look forward to welcoming you back to the resort as soon as possible.

"...the situation remains fluid" is an interesting choice of words. I did get the same letter as an owner of one lowly week 52. We used to personally own about 10 weeks at Foxrun. Sold a bunch off and still have the week 52.

I emailed Jeanette last week. Her response:

The Resort is closed, minimal damage at the Resort. No power, cell towers, etc. Most roads are either impassable or non-existent. The surrounding towns are devastated.

Good to hear.

Damage to the infrastructure makes more sense than damage at the resort itself. The employees at the resort have more to worry about than my wanting to make a deposit with II. Hope they can put things back together as soon as possible.
