You would probably do better paying your bill in pesos with a Visa or MasterCard. Last I was there they did not accept Amex.

I just returned from the Royal Sands. The Royal Desk was giving 17.5 pesos to the US Dollar. The exchange rate with your credit card is 19 pesos to the USD. That would be approximately 13.5 Pesos to the CAD. The rate in December was

You are much better off paying your Royal bill at check-out in Pesos with a credit card that does not have foreign transaction fees.

we got our cash at the ATM at the super Market at Kulkulkan Mall.

we do use a credit card(with no exchange fees) to pay in pesos when we check out. Was looking for the current rates for the Canadian $ for the odd excursion to the mall, we don't leave the resort too much
